Every surface, every rule, every artifact Studio produces.
A complete reference. Studio sits upstream of animators, voice talent, live-action crews, AI tools — taking source knowledge in and producing approved, handoff-ready scripts and storyboards with a full decision trail. Target cycle: 5–7 days from source to approved storyboard.
Seven stages. Two human gates.
Research, outline, validation, and storyboard generation run automatically end-to-end. The only places work waits are the two human reviews — and validation has already self-corrected up to three times before either one.
Research
Source material is ingested and grounded. Studio pulls from curriculum, manuals, standards, prior approved scripts, and (optionally) Wikipedia REST for fact-check anchors.
Outline
A structured outline draft against your audience, tone, and pedagogy: anchor facts (6–10), key takeaways, big idea, opening, keyframes with narration and visual direction, closing, total runtime, total narrator words.
Validation
Claude runs the outline against ~14 rules: learning design, accuracy and source grounding, audience and tone fit, compliance, and production readiness — 18 checks in all. Self-corrects up to 3 times before reaching a human.
Outline review
Editor approves, sends back with structured comments, or requests changes. Send-backs inject directly into the next regeneration as explicit corrections.
Storyboard
Each approved keyframe expands into 2–4 shots (4–10s each) with prose visual descriptions, voiceover, SFX, duration. Format-specific guidance shifts visualDescription per shot.
Storyboard review
Second human gate. Approve or send back. Comments are version-tracked and tied to a specific shot or keyframe.
Complete
Versioned export to your production team — animation, live-action, screencast, AI — or routed to a Studio producer for final video.
Configure once at the top. Override anywhere below.
Project setup captures the rules everything downstream inherits. Batches can override tone, visual style, and world logic without touching the rest. Items can override anything for a single video.null means inherit; the UI badges any divergence.
Brand defaults — audience, tone, style, formats, structures, compliance
Per-release overrides — tone / visual / world logic, batch-scoped exemplars
Per-video overrides — any axis, learning objective, must-include / must-avoid

Three generators. All grounded in your context.
Outline, validation, and storyboard each call Claude Sonnet 4 with project context, item pedagogy, and exemplars from the knowledge library. Retry + backoff on failure. Structured JSON in, structured JSON out.
Outline
Project context (audience, tone, style, duration, compliance), item pedagogy, research summary, exemplars
- Anchor facts (6–10 grounded truths)
- Big idea, key takeaways, key points
- Opening (proportionate)
- Keyframes with narration · duration · visual notes
- Closing, production notes, total runtime
Validation
The generated outline + the resolved rule set + the reference library
- Pass / fail per rule
- Flags list with specific quotes
- Changelog if revised
- Revised outline (if self-correcting)
Storyboard
The approved outline + project visual style + production format

Fourteen checks. Up to three passes. Then a human.
Every outline is graded against this rule set before it reaches an editor. If a check fails, Studio attempts to fix it and re-validates — up to three times. Failures that survive all three are surfaced explicitly with quoted excerpts.
The same outline. Six different shot-list dialects.
Production format is a setup axis. It changes how Studio writes the visual description for every shot — so an animator gets motion notes, a live-action crew gets location notes, a screencast editor gets UI labels, all from the same approved keyframes.
Six typed entry kinds. Every draft draws on them.
Per-project repository for reference material with typed entries. Project-level and batch-level exemplars get loaded and formatted into the AI prompts at outline and storyboard time — approved work compounds into future drafts.

Approve. Send back. Comment. Every decision is captured.
Comments are structured — { note, action, stage, versionAtCreation, addressedInVersion } — and a send-back gets injected directly into the next regeneration as explicit corrections. Versions, authors, and timing are part of the record. Compliance audits become a one-click export.
Per-version diffs
